Through a series of videos, the doctors at the Ouchy Orthopedic Center shed light on the most common pathologies and their scientific research on the musculoskeletal system at the center. In this second video, Dr. Ludovic Glanz, a physician in training to become a specialist in orthopedics (FMH) and a fellow in shoulder surgery, discusses shoulder osteoarthritis.

Dr. Ludovic Glanz studied medicine at the Louis Pasteur Faculty of Medicine in Strasbourg, France. Passionate about anatomy, he teaches these principles to first-year medical students. During his final year of medical school, convinced of the value of learning a wide range of surgical techniques, he decided to complete a residency in cardiac and neurosurgery in Montreal, Canada.

After his internship at the Hospices Civils de Lyon, he specialized in orthopedic and trauma surgery in Switzerland. With a strong interest in upper limb surgery, he obtained a university diploma in surgical pathologies of the shoulder and elbow, as well as a university diploma in microsurgery.

He then continued his career as an assistant clinical director at Nyon Hospital for two and a half years before joining the Ouchy Orthopedic Center in Lausanne in January 2021 to undertake a fellowship specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery. There, he worked alongside Dr. Steve Brenn. Wishing to bring the benefits of technological innovations to his patients, Dr. Ludovic Glanz is interested in the use of augmented reality in surgery.
