Training center

Passing on excellence to advance orthopedics

A teaching mission

Beyond clinical practice, Medicol is committed to knowledge transfer and the improvement of orthopedic practices. This training mission stems from our conviction that clinical excellence depends on knowledge sharing and the continuous improvement of medical skills.

FMH and SEMS accreditation

Official recognition
Medicol is an independent medical structure which is based around a center of expertise in orthopedics and sports medicine: the "Ouchy Orthopedic Center".

This center, accredited by the FMH (Swiss Medical Association) and SEMS (Swiss Society of Sports Medicine) for training in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, is the result of a partnership with Hirslanden Clinique Bois-Cerf. The Ouchy Orthopedic Center welcomes physicians already holding an FMH qualification in orthopedics for specialized training (hip, knee, shoulder, foot, etc.) and physicians currently undergoing training in general orthopedics or sports medicine. Approximately ten experienced, practicing surgeons currently oversee the center's activities and contribute to teaching in the operating room and at training seminars.

Training of future specialists
This certification allows us to host physicians undergoing specialized training in orthopedic surgery and traumatology. These practitioners benefit from personalized supervision and exposure to all the techniques practiced within the center.

Teaching and lectures

Sharing expertise Our specialists actively participate in national and international conferences, presenting the results of their clinical practice and the latest research findings. These presentations contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and the prestige of Swiss orthopedics. Continuing education sessions Training sessions are regularly organized for healthcare professionals wishing to update their knowledge or improve their skills in specific areas of orthopedics. These training sessions combine theoretical input with practical demonstrations.
