Patient support

Pre- and post-operative coaching, comprehensive documentation and continuous follow-up to optimize your recovery and mobility.

The Medicol rehabilitation program

The Medicol-specific rehabilitation program aims to inform you and empower you to actively participate in the success of your treatment. This program is based on close support during the three key phases of your journey: before hospitalization, during your stay at the clinic, and upon your return home.

A multidisciplinary team at your side

Complementary skills
Your care involves a full team of professionals: sports medicine physicians, orthopedic surgeons, radiologists, biomedical engineers, and physiotherapists. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that every aspect of your condition is addressed, from biomechanical analysis to functional considerations.

Optimal coordination
Regular communication between team members ensures the consistency of your care pathway. Each member of the team has the necessary information to tailor their approach to your specific situation.

The three phases of support

Multidisciplinary team

Surgeons, sports doctors, radiologists, engineers and physiotherapists collaborate for your success.

3-phase program

Before hospitalization, during the stay and upon returning home: continuous and personalized support.

Back to sport

Gradual return in stages, adapted exercises and prevention of relapses to regain your performance.
Regular progress tests to track your progress and adapt your program.
Complete documentation provided at each stage to ensure your confidence.
Find your cruising speed and progress painlessly with your therapist.

Phase 1 – Preparation for the intervention:
After your consultation with the surgeon, a follow-up appointment with a resident physician allows you to discuss the information you received and ensure everything is understood. You can ask any questions you may have and receive comprehensive documentation about your procedure and rehabilitation process.

Phase 2 – Clinical stay:
During your hospital stay, the healthcare team will guide you step by step through the initial stages of recovery. The initial exercises will be supervised to help you regain confidence in your abilities.

Phase 3 – Return home:
Rehabilitation continues after your discharge, with a personalized program and follow-up consultations. Regular progress tests allow us to monitor your progress and adapt the exercises to your evolving needs.

Progress at your own pace

Passing tests and continuous assessment:
During your physiotherapy treatment, several assessments are conducted to objectively measure your progress. These evaluations allow you to progress at your own pace, safely, without rushing the process.

Trust as a driving force
The main goal of this program is for you to feel confident throughout your rehabilitation and for the steps set for your progress to seem achievable. Find your pace and progress pain-free with the help of your therapist.

Back to sport

A gradual and supervised resumption
Returning to sports is a gradual process at the end of rehabilitation. First, you need to regain control of your joint through increasingly demanding activities and rebuild good muscle strength. Activities in which you feel comfortable should be prioritized.

Prevention of relapse
The program incorporates a preventative component to reduce the risk of further injuries. Strengthening and proprioceptive exercises prepare you to resume your sporting activities in optimal condition.
