Foot and ankle surgery

Dr. Patrick Vienne obtained his medical degree in 1990 from the University of Bern. He completed his specialization in orthopedic surgery partly in Fribourg, and then at the Balgrist University Orthopedic Clinic in Zurich, where he earned his doctorate in 1998. After a fellowship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, he headed the Department of Foot and Ankle Surgery at the Balgrist Clinic in Zurich from 1999 to 2007. During this period, he focused primarily on introducing a new total ankle prosthesis to Europe and developing a new surgical technique for correcting hallux valgus, which has been the subject of numerous scientific publications in specialized orthopedic surgery journals.
After more than 15 years of experience in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Patrick Vienne joins the Medicol group with the aim of creating a center of excellence for the foot within the Hirslanden Bois-Cerf clinic.
