Dr. Mathieu Hofer
Orthopedic surgeon and traumatology specialist
Hip and knee surgery
After obtaining his medical degree and a doctorate from the University of Lausanne, Dr. Hofer completed his FMH specialization in orthopedic surgery and musculoskeletal traumatology at the CHUV.
During his training, he developed a particular interest in lower limb surgery, particularly prosthetic surgery, where he became head of the prosthetic group clinic at the orthopedic hospital.
In 2012 he was appointed head physician of the orthopedics and traumatology department of the Hôpitaux du Nord Vaudois at the Saint-Loup site.
In 2014, he decided to settle down and created the Synergie medical center in Lausanne with Dr. Cikes, a center entirely dedicated to the treatment of musculoskeletal system pathologies.
Within the center, Dr. Hofer is responsible for lower limb surgery, including various age-related degenerative knee and hip pathologies, but also accidental injuries in sports patients such as ligament or meniscal tears.
Since his arrival, he has worked closely with the Bois-Cerf clinic, where he practices his surgical specialty. As part of this collaboration, he regularly gives public presentations in his areas of expertise.
