Hand surgery
Dr. Bollmann completed his primary and secondary education in Fribourg, including the beginning of his medical studies, before taking his final exams in Bern. He then undertook his initial specialization in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital) in Lausanne, Yverdon, and Fribourg. He quickly discovered his passion for Hand Surgery and continued his training in this specialty, initially at the Clinique Longeraie in Lausanne and later at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) in Geneva. He served as Chief Physician at the Longeraie Clinic before further specializing in Brisbane, Australia.
Upon returning to Switzerland, he became a senior physician at the Hand Center at the CHUV (Lausanne University Hospital), and later an accredited physician. He subsequently took over Professor Egloff's practice. The Longeraie Clinic's offices moved to Avenue d'Ouchy in 2016, with the Bois-Cerf and Cecil Clinics as their main partners.
Within the group practice, Dr. Bollmann is the primary specialist for wrist pathologies, arthroscopy, prosthetics, and hand trauma. He also collaborates with the Balgrist University Clinic in Zurich for osteotomies using custom 3D guides. Dr. Bollmann has also specialized in ultrasound imaging and ultrasound-guided injections.
