Hip and knee surgery

Brigitte Jolles-Haeberli, a surgeon specializing in knee and hip replacements, is also a professor at the University of Lausanne-CHUV and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne. In 2013, she opened her medical practice on Avenue Louis-Ruchonnet in Lausanne and practices her surgical specialties at the Bois-Cerf Clinic.

Attracted to medicine and engineering, Prof. Jolles-Haeberli received extensive multidisciplinary training. In 1990, she obtained her EPFL engineering degree in microtechnology, then in 1995, the Swiss federal medical diploma and her doctorate in medicine from the University of Lausanne.

Initially a clinical head and then a senior physician in the university department of Prof. P.-F. Levraz in 2002, she became head of the knee and hip prosthetic surgery unit of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology of the CHUV in 2008.

Her research, conducted both in the fundamental field and in clinical practice, has notably earned her several prestigious awards, including the Nokia-Maillefer Prize (EPFL) for the author of a scientific work and the Venel Prize, the highest scientific distinction of the Swiss Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology.
